Multiple Landscapes

In a country just over 570 km in length by 160 km wide, on each pedaling there is a discovery of new landscapes and environments.

Rivers, Ocean and Estuaries

From the Atlantic to the rivers and streams, passing through hundreds of dams, weirs and reservoirs, there are many water mirrors to contemplate. And of course, thousands of ocean and river beaches all over the country.

Cities, towns and villages

From the large metropolitan areas of Lisbon and Porto to the small towns and semi-desert villages in the interior of the country, each trip is a new adventure.

Castles and fortifications

With greater emphasis on the border area, from north to south it is possible to see military buildings, villages and walled towns, millenary testimony of wars and political tensions within the Iberian Peninsula.

Bike lanes &  Rails-to-trails

Several infrastructures dedicated exclusively to light mobility are appearing all over the country. From urban and leisure bike lanes to rails-to-trails - old deactivated railway branches - there are many reasons to travel by bike in Portugal.

Rural and Forest roads

Mostly in macadam, but also in asphalt, these are the "off-traffic" routes that I identify so that you can cycle through the real country, unknown to many and far from large urban areas.
